Most importantly, Pharus EPIRB Poseidon has Automatic Identification System (AIS) capability. In an emergency, Pharus EPIRB Poseidon sends signals to satellites on the 406.031 MHz channel and to ground stations on the 121.5 MHz channel. To replace the battery of the Pharus EPIRB Poseidon, which has a 5-year battery life, it is necessary to obtain an approved battery module from Pharus Tech or Pharus Tech-approved suppliers. The replacement should be done in sync with the battery replacement instructions on the PharusBeaconApp mobile application in an internet-connected environment.
